Position Summary
The Grounds Crew will be responsible for maintaining the Resort grounds to ensure they are safe, clean and presentable to the guests and employees. The Grounds Crew will perform all outdoor maintenance including landscaping, property clean-up, snow removal and outdoor property enhancements. The successful candidate must be available during 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday during the Fall season.
Operational Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing landscape maintenance duties, such as mowing, fertilizer applications, weed control, aeration, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming, etc
- Assist in the set up of snowmaking equipment
- Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but no limited to bed edger’s, commercial mowers, blowers, trailers, chainsaws, line trimmers, etc
- Perform landscape enhancement activities such as mulch application, plantings, top soil, gravel, lawn seeding
- Responsible for debris and garbage from patios, emergency exits and parking lots
- Address guest questions, comments and concerns
- Minor equipment repairs such as sharpening blades
- Ensure you are working in conjunction with Health & Safety protocols and practices, and report any damages to equipment or injuries of staff to appropriate Manager immediately

- Energetic, outgoing with a positive attitude, driven to deliver elevated guest experiences
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as excellent problem-solving abilities
- Respond to special guest requests with a sense of urgency in a friendly and efficient manner
- Guest-centric health & safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Able to work days, weekends, early morning, evenings and holiday
- Ability to work in inclement weather
- Willingness to work occasional overtime
- Must be comfortable working independently
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature
- Must have reliable transportation to and from Horseshoe Resort
