SR. Director of Finance

Position:
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, organized, team-oriented and professional Senior Director of Finance at our national head office in Richmond, BC.
This position will report to the CFO and will collaborate with other departments on a wide range of projects. The Senior Director of Finance will be responsible for and lead all finance functions including corporate reporting, business planning, and performance analytics.
The successful candidate must be a natural leader who is comfortable supervising a team and acting as a business partner with franchisees, suppliers, internal departments, and the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial matters including reporting and financial growth initiatives.
- Supervise the preparation of fully compliant external financial statements within IFRS standards and relevant pronouncements. Present findings to the Audit Committee.
- Provide meaningful insight into acquisition targets and business expansion opportunities, including the quantification of financial returns and synergistic opportunities to add value.
- Oversee the Corporate Controller function in the delivery of full cycle accounting, including month end financial statements and associated management reporting.
- Production of the annual business plan and other board facing content.
- Partner with the Operations team on franchisee facing matters, including identifying opportunities to drive store level profitability and service expansion.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to review and analyze promotional activities.
- Manage external financial relationships with auditors, banks, and suppliers. Oversee all insurance related matters, including the evaluation of emerging risks.
- Assess and execute upon avenues to drive shareholder value.
- Assist the CFO in the preparation of ad hoc reports and financial modelling, including the presentation of reports to leadership and external partners.
- Conduct industry research and analysis. Identify and articulate key risks and opportunities within the automotive industry.
- Provide leadership to the Corporate Controller alongside the accounting and finance team. Maintain a cohesive and highly productive team.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation. An MBA designation would be preferred but not required.
- Experience leading a team at a Director or equivalent level.
- Demonstrated ability to develop sophisticated financial models and conduct insightful financial analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong people skills with the ability to effectively manage a cross functional group.
- High degree of attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.
- Resourceful and independent, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge of and experience with SAGE would be an asset.
