Current Rate of Pay: Min $54.04- Max $67.56

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Professional Practice, the Manager of Professional Practice will provide oversight and support to the Professional Practice portfolio.
The Manager, in collaboration with the Director, will support an environment that advances professional practice and leads staff in the development and implementation of education opportunities to address the learning needs of the organizations leaders and staff related to change management and quality improvement initiatives. The Manager will monitor for changes in best practice standards and lead team in the developing and implementation of evidence-based practices, policy and programs.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Registered Healthcare Professional
- Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare field
- Master’s degree in a health related field preferred
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) an asset
- Membership in relevant professional organization(s)
- Minimum of 5 years of acute care clinical experience.
- 2 years formal management experience with demonstrated leadership skills and responsibilities
- Experience with guiding staff experiencing performance and/or attendance problems
- Experience with Lean process improvement methodologies
- Relevant experience providing clinical education utilizing adult educational principles and evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and physicians
- Demonstrate leadership with respect to enhancing patient and staff safety.
- Demonstrate leadership to support patient experience, satisfaction and safety.
- Demonstrated excellence interpersonal communication, coaching, mentoring and team building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate positive interactions among all members of the health care team.
- Proven analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong change management skills and demonstrated success in facilitating department level change initiatives.
