Responsibilities Include:

• Laying and installing PVC pipe, PEX pipe with fittings and couplings for sewers and water mains
• Putting shoring in place
• Prepare and grade trenches within close proximity of excavator operator
• Perform hand signals and/or flag control as necessary
• Other duties as assigned, including attending and participating in tool box safety meetings
• Comply with established company policies and procedures and Occupational Health and Safety regulations

Required Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge and experience in civil earthworks construction
• Experience with machine-operated trenching tools, including operation of a tapping machine
• Able to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects
• Strong verbal skills and hand signal knowledge
• Ability to work long hours with some weekends and overtime in all types of outdoor environments and weather conditions
• Must have CSA approved safety boots
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License and have own transportation to get to/from job sites within the City of Calgary
