Summary/Objective
Set up workstation per production schedule. Package production items in proper shipping unit, verify weight of each unit to be shipped and placed on correct order. Reject items that are not up to quality and sanitary standards.
Essential Functions
- Completes all necessary audits that is required to maintain BRC and safety standards
- Makes suggestions on improving work procedures
- Must be able to develop good organizational skills as to allow for timely production flow and filling orders
- Confers with packaging line leader and supervisor as to production flow and sequence.
- Set up workstation and make sure needed supplies are in place and ready to run.
- Check immediate work area, correct or report potential safety hazards or unsanitary conditions.
- Watch for potential allergen/cross contamination issues.
- Double check labels, codes, weights and packing materials to make sure orders are prepared as specified.
- Package candy as it is produced. Watch for rejects of damaged items during production runs.
- Verifies correct product on Work Orders
- inserts or pours product into containers or fills containers into elevator
- Weighs containers and adjusts quantity

- Labels containers, container tags or product
- Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of the packaging process

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard Confectionary equipment. This position requires most of the work to be performed on the manufacturing floor in an area that requires hearing protection at all times. This role uses finished products and requires sanitation, good hygiene and good manufacturing policies to be applied.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Throughout the day the employee will need to lift or pull up to 50 lbs of material, depending on department.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday, 5 am to 2:30 pm. Times may fluctuate depending on department and during the year to accommodate production schedules.

Some college or experience in related fields: operations, business, food preparation, safety standards
