Contract Purchaser

Our company is a leading international manufacturer in Surrey, BC of dry material high-speed high-capacity gyratory screening machines. We are looking a contract Purchaser. Team members are responsible for all fabrication and assembly of our products, efficiently producing high quality equipment.

This Purchaser works directly with the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a reliable daily schedule of delivery dates and shop capacity
• Provide visibility of delivery dates of critical items.
• Co-ordinate movements of raw materials between the company and vendors
• Check incoming confirmations for accuracy
• Co-ordinate with shop foreman timely delivery of materials
• Provide a reliable daily schedule of delivery dates and shop capacity
• Purchase items according to the demand list.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Good working knowledge of MS Office.
• Detailed knowledge of planning and purchasing utilizing MRP systems.
• Effective at pro-active communication; an ability to accurately and timely communicate with suppliers.
• Friendly, collaborative, optimistic, enthusiastic, willing to learn new skills.
• Accurate, confident, experienced in dealing with shop leaders
