Description
Reporting to the Manager, Morningstar Center (MSC) and Del Art Recovery Home the Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, support, and consultation to the programs and services offered through MSC and Del Art Recovery Home. Responsibilities include maintaining standards of client care, supervision of clinical and non-clinical staff, and promoting program development and best practices. The Supervisor supports team member development and acts as a role model, mentoring and coaching team members.

Qualifications
- Acceptable postsecondary education (diploma or degree) applicable to mental health and addictions
- Current registration with a professional college or professional regulatory body is an asset
- CPI certification
- First Aide Training and CPR Level C
- Cultural sensitivity training
- Significant clinical experience in Mental Health and Addictions
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (Health Care Consent Act, Occupational Health, and Safety)
- Experience working within a unionized environment is a desirable asset
- Sound decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated leadership, supervision/management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication and team-building skills
- Demonstrated use of initiative, flexibility, and effective adaptation to change
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision-making
- Strong computer skills
- Must have the ability to travel to various work locations and have own transportation
- Reliable attendance record
- Experience working with Indigenous communities along with a respectful understanding of diverse cultures, traditions and worldview, is an asset
