Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills and experience:
- 3 years preferred Structural Project/Estimating experience of $3-5 million annually in a fast-paced industrial environment, ideally with structural steel and plate/grade knowledge.
- Experience with Dropbox and PDF files, strong computer literacy, and use of MS Office programs.
- Estimate Steel projects and develop clear and detailed project scope for the customer.
- Ability to work closely with team members to ensure all aspects of potential projects are quoted
- Maintain and grow current customer relationships.
- Communicate with customers to set realistic deadlines for the completion of work.
- Verify job costing as needed.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and cutting software.
- Highly proficient in Math calculations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage changing priorities.
- Detail oriented and dependable.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for promoting TD Steel and its products and services to existing and potential customers. The initial focus will be on handling fabrication projects; material take offs using cutting optimization programs while also using AutoCad/Omniwin to produce orders received while learning about our products and services. The duties for this position include:
- Prioritizing customer satisfaction and assisting with customer concerns.
- Reviewing Bid Contracts and Material Take Off’s
- Understanding all required steps in a multi-phase structural competition package
- New business development and account maintenance through proactive communication with existing and new customers.
- Accurate completion of all documentation.
- Using internal software to complete estimation duties.
- Reviewing production schedules to maintain customer promises.
