Sales Representative / Estimator - Commercial Flat Roofing
We are a highly respected 5-Star mid sized commercial roofing contractor in the Kitchener Waterloo area specializing in flat roofs.
We are seeking a Sales Representative who will generate new business, manage client relationships, and close sales for our commercial roofing business.
We are looking for a HUNTER, a hard working, smart, dynamic, tech savvy HUNTER.
For the most part you will be on the computer and on the phone searching out who the key contact is for a building, connecting with then, introducing yourself and the company, and starting the conversation leading to a quote and a sale.
This is a hybrid role where you will be in our Kitchener office 1-2 days per week, working at home 1-2 days per week and on the road and at client meetings 1-2 days per week. You will be on the computer searching out commercial building owners, property managers, GC’s and other who have input into the building maintenance and in particular new roofs. Once you find out who they are, you make contact with them through any means possible including by phone, email, text, social, LinkedIn, going to their office, or any other means to start the conversation.
As the ideal candidate you will be capable of generating new business, manage client relationships and close the sale of commercial roofing projects. You will be asked to hit sales targets of $1M to $3M annually, maintain a robust pipeline and be consistent with prospecting, follow-up and deal closing.
Duties
- Work independently to be contacting building owners and property management firms.
- Identify new leads through research and pursue new commercial sales opportunities
- Forge strong connections with key decision-makers, including property owners, managers, and GCs.
- Drive outreach via cold calls, networking events, site visits, and leveraging referral networks.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and roof condition assessments (we’ll train you if needed).
- Craft accurate proposals, estimates, and detailed statements of work.
- Keep a disciplined, up-to-date sales pipeline to track every opportunity.
- Own the client relationship from first contact through closing.
- Ensure zero-friction transitions when handing projects off to the execution team.
- Work cross-functionally with operations and project delivery teams to guarantee success.
We offer an Excellent Compensation package including:
- A base starting salary of $60,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Uncapped commission (4.5% on the 1st million, 7.5% on the second million+). Hit 2 million in sales and you earn $200,000+ annually.

WHAT do you need to have?
- Commercial or flat roof industry experience.
- Commercial roof estimating experience preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong Computer, Word, CRM and AI experience.
- Strong research skills via Google, Perplexity, online databases.
- Valid drivers license.
- Good work ethic connecting with 75+ key decision makers weekly, 4-6 virtual or in person client meetings resulting in 8-15+ quotes per month, leading to 2-5 sales monthly.
