What You'll Be Doing

At Presidential Ventilation we take pride in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. As a Service Specialist, you will be the face of Presidential Ventilation Systems in our customers' homes. You'll be responsible for accurately diagnosing system issues, communicating appropriate solutions to the customer, and completing repairs to the highest industry standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and repairing residential heating, cooling, and ventilation systems as well as other indoor air quality equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance and seasonal inspections.
• Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and airflow issues.
• Comprehending wiring diagrams, interpreting technical manuals, and using diagnostic tools to identify faults.
• Verifying system performance after repairs to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability.
• Clearly explaining findings, repair options, and maintenance recommendations to homeowners.
• Maintaining accurate digital service records and documenting completed work.
• Managing service vehicle inventory and maintaining company tools and equipment.
• Following all safety regulations, company procedures, and manufacturer specifications.

The Technician We're Looking For 

The ideal candidate is a confident and knowledgeable HVAC professional who combines strong technical skills with exceptional customer service.

You should possess:

• Extensive experience servicing residential HVAC equipment
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities across electrical, refrigeration, airflow, combustion, and control systems
• A thorough understanding of HVAC operating principles and system performance
• The ability to identify root causes rather than simply replacing parts
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment, refrigerant gauges, vacuum pumps, charging and recovery equipment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• The ability to prioritize multiple service calls while maintaining quality workmanship
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information in a clear, professional manner
• A commitment to providing honest recommendations and building long-term customer relationships
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining a collaborative member of the team through regular communication

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid HVAC/Refrigeration certification with Red Seal designation
• Experience with heat pumps, variable-speed equipment, and inverter technology
• Knowledge of modern communicating HVAC controls
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Experience with digital invoicing and field service software is considered an asset
