Description

The Dietician provides clinical nutrition care to in-patients, outpatients, chemotherapy and hemodialysis patients. Acts as source of reliable nutrition information to patients, families, health professionals and the public. Assist in the development/revision of patient menus and policies and procedures for Clinical Nutrition Services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Four- year Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Food and Nutrition
  • Completion of an accredited dietetic internship or integrated undergrad university program
  • Completion of the National Canadian Dietetic Registration Exam
  • Currently registered with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Member of Dietitians of Canada and eligible for membership in the Association of Nephrology Dietitians
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a clinical dietitian, with recent experience in the long term care and ambulatory care settings
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills with patients and multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated self-directed work habits within a team environment
  • Reliable attendance record
