Commercial Sheet Metal Worker Field & Shop

Busy Edmonton Sheet Metal Contractor immediately requires qualified, registered apprentice and journeyperson sheet metal workers for commercial installation and shop positions.
-Installers will be working as part of a team and will be required to interpret blue prints, layout, assemble and install HVAC duct systems, work with overhead cranes and pickers to hoist and place HVAC air handling equipment. The ability to work safely at heights is a must.
-Shop persons shall have a working knowledge of HVAC duct design and fabrication, be trained in the operation of sheet metal sheers, brakes, turning machines, seamers, etc. and possess the required associated hand skills. Welding skills are an asset.
-All candidates must be safety conscious, punctual, and possess a basic knowledge of sheet metal hand tools and small power tools.
-Certification in aerial work platforms, fall protection, CSTS, WHMIS, and first aid is needed. Arrangements for training and recertification can be provided when needed.
-Steel toe work boots and a valid class 5 drivers license are mandatory. Hard hat, gloves and safety glasses will be provided.
40 hour work week, weekends when necessary, competitive wages.
