Outboard & Powersports Technician
Gorham, ME
We are seeking a full-time, year round Outboard & Powersports Technician to join our team.
This position combines marine and powersports service, providing year-round variety working on outboard engines, sterndrives, trolling motors, snowmobiles, ATVs, and related equipment.
Candidates do not need experience in both marine and powersports. Experienced technicians from either side—as well as candidates with relevant automotive, motorcycle, small-engine, or other mechanical backgrounds—are encouraged to apply.
Marine Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair outboard engines
- Diagnose, service, and repair sterndrive systems
- Perform manufacturer-recommended maintenance
- Diagnose engine performance and operating issues
- Perform winterization and spring commissioning
- Install and service trolling motors
- Diagnose and repair starting, charging, and related electrical issues
- Install and service batteries and basic electrical components
- Troubleshoot and repair simple onboard marine systems
- Install marine accessories and equipment
- Perform or assist with repowers and engine installations
- Conduct operational checks following repairs
Powersports Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair snowmobiles
- Diagnose, service, and repair ATVs and related powersports equipment
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose engine, drivetrain, electrical, starting, charging, and operating issues
- Perform seasonal service and preparation
- Repair and replace worn or damaged components
- Install accessories and equipment
- Perform operational and safety checks following repairs

- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

- Commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship
- Manufacturer training and certifications are a plus.
