The President's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those listed below. The Division Head is responsible for ensuring that the leader of each of the subsidiaries within the Division are fulfilling the same responsibilities listed below while bearing ultimate responsibility for the overall performance of the business unit.  Management may maintain an ongoing dialogue with each leader of its subsidiaries, including those subsidiaries operating within operating divisions, but the reporting relationship of those subsidiary leaders in operating divisions is into the Division Head. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Developing and implementing business and operating plans that are aligned with the company's overall strategy and objectives.
  • Leading the organization with an operating philosophy that is performance driven while supporting the company values.  
  • Delivering top and bottom-line results. 
  • Providing hands-on leadership while implementing key strategic initiatives and best practices that drive revenue, profitability, and organic growth. 
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement to maximize productivity and profitability.  
  • Maintaining a deep knowledge of the market and industry trends.  
  • Identifying growth opportunities, including new markets, geographic expansion and additional lines of business, developing plans to penetrate the new markets and geographies and introduce new lines of business identified, and winning new, profitable business. 
  • Forging long term relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.  
  • Fostering a positive and ethical work environment that is conducive to attracting, retaining, and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels. 
  • Ensuring a high performing senior management team is in place with development, mentoring and 
    succession plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements while delivering business results.
  • Evaluating risks and challenges faced by the business. Implementing actions to mitigate risks, overcome 
    challenges and create new opportunities. 
  • Communicating regularly with Management and, occasionally the Board of Directors, on important issues facing the subsidiary (internal and external). 
  • Performing any other duties and responsibilities as required.
     

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, including senior responsibility for overall business performance, profitability, and people.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and accountability for business results, with substantial applied experience in budgeting, forecasting, costing, pricing, margin management, inventory, working capital, and capital-investment evaluation.
  • Strong applied manufacturing knowledge and operational judgment, supported by demonstrated success in diagnosing performance constraints and improving productivity, quality, safety, delivery, and cost performance through capable operational leaders.
  • A proven track record of developing and executing business strategies that deliver profitable growth, margin improvement, and cash generation.
  • Demonstrated commercial leadership and success working with sales, business development and/or marketing teams to strengthen customer relationships, develop markets and secure profitable business.
  • Proven experience leading the integration of acquired businesses.
  • Demonstrated success in building and developing leadership teams, strengthening accountability, managing performance, and developing succession capability.
  • Experience strengthening business systems and management processes to support reliable execution and sustainable growth.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, sound judgment, and demonstrated integrity, transparency, and respect.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in leading through change, uncertainty, and competing business priorities.
  • Ability to travel as required
