We have a small but innovative and creative Marketing & Communications team, looking for a new team member. Purpose:

Supports the Marketing and Communications team to continuously strengthen external and internal communications and contribute to operational excellence.

General Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Marketing & Communications Manager with general administration, budget reconciliation, etc.
  • Provide support for the development, maintenance, and organization of various digital tools such as Convoy’s media library, branded materials portal, ecommerce platform, and convoy-supply.com.
  • Support visual brand consistency across communications channels
  • Prepare, edit, and proofread announcements, presentations, brochures, publications, reports, and other related marketing and communications material
  • Collaborate with merchandise supplier and marketing team to design and order promo merchandise and bulk clothing buys
  • Seek out opportunities to help maintain organizational reputation online by working with team members to create and/or re-purpose content for websites and social media networks
  • Support other departments and branches with material and document design
  • Work with the Marketing Team to plan and execute corporate and customer events, including annual sales meetings, tradeshows, golf events, and employee recognition programs
  • Participate on committees and in meetings as needed to provide support on communications planning or implementation
  • Liaise and negotiate with department contractors and suppliers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

This is a great opportunity for a relatively new graduate with education in marketing or communications, looking for a wide breadth of opportunity in a small but growing team.

  • Post-secondary education in a related field such as communications, journalism, or marketing/advertising, and one to three years experience in a related environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Graphic design experience is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, basic HTML, and social media management tools
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and SEO tools considered an asset
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Social media proficiency
  • Ability to work effectively independently, with individuals, and teams in a wide variety of settings, applying interpersonal skills and taking a problem-solving approach
  • Capacity to handle highly confidential and sensitive issues with skill, tact, and diplomacy and to act with a high degree of ethical and professional behaviour
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple projects and work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Knowledge of written and spoken French would be a strong asset
  • Commitment to continuous learning and developing skills and knowledge in the marketing and communications profession
  • Part-time remote work may be possible after probationary period
  • Occasional travel may be required to support customer/company events
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle preferred
